Job Summary:
Are you passionate about helping young students learn and grow? We're looking for a friendly and dedicated tutor to work one-on-one with a sixth grader in Amesbury, Massachusetts. Your role will be to make learning fun and effective, focusing on the student's individual needs, especially in subjects where they may need extra help.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create engaging and easy-to-understand lessons that help in subjects like math, language arts, science, and social studies.
• Build a positive learning space where the student feels comfortable and encouraged.
• Use fun and creative ways to explain topics and help the student understand and enjoy their lessons.
• Keep track of the student's progress and identify areas where they need more help.
• Offer extra support and patience for challenging topics.
• Work together with the student's family to keep them updated on progress and any special needs.
• Use learning tools like educational apps or games to make lessons more interesting.

Requirements:

• High school student or older with a good understanding of subjects taught in sixth grade.
• Must be patient, friendly, and good at explaining things in a way younger students can understand.
• Should be reliable and able to commit to regular tutoring sessions.
• Previous experience in tutoring or helping peers/siblings with schoolwork would be great, but not required.

Skills:

• Good at explaining math concepts, language arts, science, and social studies.
• Able to come up with creative and fun ways to teach.
• Good at listening and adapting to the student's learning style.
• Patience and enthusiasm for teaching and helping others learn.

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $23.66 - $70.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 – 20 per week
