POSITION SUMMARY The Physical Therapist restores patient mobility through personalized treatment plans. Assessing, implementing interventions, and collaborating with healthcare teams, the PT addresses musculoskeletal disorders. Utilizing rehabilitative exercises and manual therapy, they focus on patient education and adapt treatment plans for optimal outcomes. Compliance with standards, effective communication, and continuous professional development are crucial in this role.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Plan, prepare, and execute individually tailored physical treatment programs.
• Perform and document comprehensive initial exams to identify problems and determine diagnoses.
• Evaluate treatment effects and adjust interventions for optimal benefits.
• Administer manual exercises, massage, or traction to alleviate pain and enhance strength.
• Instruct patients and families in treatment procedures for continued home care.
• Confer with patients, medical practitioners, and others to plan, implement, and assess intervention programs.
• Review referrals, patient records, and record prognosis, treatment, and progress.
• Obtain informed consent for proposed interventions.
• Discharge patients when goals are achieved, providing follow-up care or referrals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES) 

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy.
• Completion of a physical therapy training program and possession of a valid certification.
• 6 months of relevant experience as a Physical Therapist.
• Understanding of principles and processes for providing physical therapy, including patient needs assessment and service quality standards.
• Ability to monitor patient progress and implement corrective actions for optimal outcomes.
• Familiarity with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA confidentiality, infection control, and preventative measures.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills for effective patient interaction and documentation.
• Proficient manual dexterity, control precision, and arm-hand steadiness for accurate therapy delivery.
• Ability to be empathetic with patients and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
