Position: NSX-T Engineer

Location: New York, NY

Hours: 1400pm-2200pm, Monday-Friday, 35 hours/week (excluding mandatory unpaid meal break). Total of 1820 hours over 1 year.

Pay Rate: $71-$80 per hour

Due Date: March 29th, 2024

Responsibilities:

1. Implementing VMware VCF Software suite tools (SDDC, vSphere, vSAN, NSX-T, Aria).
2. Configuring L4/L7 Distributed Firewall rules and IDS/IPS functionality.
3. Setting up NSX-T Advanced Local and Global Loadbalancers.
4. Implementing software updates and security patches for the VCF environment.
5. Administering VMware NSX-T Datacenter 3.1.3/3.2.x.

Mandatory Skills/Experience:

1. Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in software-designed network technologies.
2. Ability to work independently.
3. Experience with BGP peering between NSX-T and Cisco ACI.
4. Proficiency in NSX-T Distributed and Gateway Firewalls, T1/SR with App ID-based Layer7 Firewall rules.
5. Knowledge of Avi Global(DNS) and Local load balancing.
6. Understanding of VxLAN/Geneve based Federated stretch NSX-T segments.
7. Familiarity with VMware ESXi vSphere/vCenter 7.x/8.x, NSX-T VDS T1/T0 Segments.
8. Experience with VCF Cloud Foundation and NSXT extensions into AWS and Azure.
9. Strong understanding of IP/IPv6 based networks, subnetting, and advanced routing protocols.
10. Proficiency in configuring and administering VMWare IT server, networking, and SAN storage solutions.
11. Knowledge of hyper-converged infrastructure and vSAN technology.
12. Familiarity with automation tools: Python, Terraform, and Ansible pipelines.
13. Proficiency in Microsoft Visio.

Desirable Skills/Experience:

1. Knowledge of Aria suite of products including vROPs, vCenters, VRA, and Log Insight.
2. Familiarity with VMware Horizon.
3. Preferred certifications: Cisco CCNP Enterprise, VMware Certified Design Expert - Network Virtualization 2023.
