Position Summary:
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for pulling and filling customer orders and delivering them to the delivery platform in a manner that meets company standards for safety, security, and productivity. The Warehouse Associate is responsible for the completeness and correctness of all orders filled.
The Will Call process is a large part of this role due to direct customer involvement. The Warehouse Associate role also includes utilizing the process to receive incoming materials. Additionally, this position works closely with the Customer Service division to promote and inspire Extra Mile thinking and performance, companywide. The Warehouse Associate possesses character, professionalism, humility, and morality with a focus on service and support.
Duties included, but not limited to:
- Pull orders from correct bins with correct quantity using the wireless warehouse system
- Operate forklift and picker in performance of order filling duties when required. Daily, inspect and perform minor maintenance on the equipment, Forklift & Picker Certification is required and will be provided
- Expedite Will Call orders for immediate pick up
- Differentiate between various types of paperwork, Including pick tickets, invoices, PO’s, etc.
- Foster great customer relationships by greeting Will Call customers immediately and process their orders quickly and efficiently
- Understand and comprehend how paperwork flows from pick ticket creation to Enlighten scanning
- Ability to place materials on a pallet neatly for shipping. An emphasis must be placed on minimizing damage of material during shipping
- Perform daily checks on warehouse equipment to minimize service costs
- Maintain a 98% order pulling accuracy
- Keep warehouse clean and organized always
- Receive incoming materials, check quantity and quality, enter in ERP system and stock shelves

Supervisory Responsibility:
This position has no supervisor responsibility.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and general dirt and grime. This position occasionally performs work in outside weather conditions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The environment in the warehouse is not temperature controlled and is subject to the temperature of the seasons. This position is mostly indoors with occasional trips for picking or loading outside of the building.
Position Type and Expected Hours:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. subject to shift changes. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel:
No travel is expected for this role.
Required Education and Experience:
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Basic computer skills and ability to become proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Reliable mode of transportation- ability to work the hours of operations for this role
Preferred Education and Experience:
- High school diploma/GED preferred
- Two years experience working in a warehouse.
