Mentor Day Services - Enjoy a rewarding and challenging position with a nonprofit organization that has been helping educate, train, and provide employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities since 1955. We are currently seeking applicants for a full time Mentor that will be r esponsible for providing
direct support services for individuals with developmental disabilities. Fills in for vacant positions, special events, or staff absences and may work in any program operated by the Corporation. Remains current in knowledge of documentation requirements to meet Medicaid, contractual, licensing regulations, and/or corporate policies and procedures. Provides training in best practices for providing direct support to individuals served and in documentation requirements.
Applicants must have the ability to work Mo nday - Friday 8:00AM - 4:30PM
2. Assists with chart reviews and providing training in documentation requirements for other Direct Support Professionals.
3. Maintains a current knowledge of Medicaid Waiver requirements and licensure regulations in order to support program needs.
4. Works independently with minimal supervision to provide services to individuals, training to other employees, and to initiate new service groups.
5. Assists Directors and Program Managers with meeting Medicaid Waiver, Human Rights and Office of licensing requirements.
6. Provide direct on the floor training to other employees in providing quality supports to individuals to include following the individual’s ISP, Health and Safety Protocols, and Behavior Treatment plans as applicable.
7. Provide training to other employees on company policy and best practice for E-Track documentation, community outing procedure, stakeholder interactions, and billable activities.
8. Uses positive behavioral support techniques to intervene and redirect problem behaviors and follows reporting requirements.
9. Maintains an awareness of safety issues to ensure the safety and well-being of associates and staff.
10. Operates and helps to maintain multi-person vans.
11. Attends all required meetings and training.
12. Performs other duties as requested by supervisor or designee.
