Job Summary:
We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. As an LPN, you will provide direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the comfort, safety, and well-being of our patients.
Duties:
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or abnormalities
- Assist with medical procedures such as wound care, catheter insertion, and IV insertion
- Collaborate with registered nurses and physicians to develop and implement patient care plans
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding healthcare needs and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Assist with family planning, infant care, and other specialized areas as needed
- Follow infection control protocols to prevent the spread of diseases
- Provide emotional support to patients during difficult times
Qualifications:
- Valid LPN license in PA
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- Familiarity with medical imaging procedures is a plus
- Ability to administer injections and perform other nursing procedures
- Knowledge of ventilator care is desirable
- Experience in nursing home or home care settings is beneficial
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively
- Potential float between Pittsburgh locations
