EFC INTERNATIONAL is Hiring a Remote Inside Sales Representative

Inventory Sales, an EFC International company, is looking for an Inside Sales Representative to join the Inside Sales team at our Affton, MO location. They will be responsible for all Inside Sales functions for an assigned group of Outside Salespersons and customers; conducts daily account management tasks to support company business objectives and customer needs. Excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively are essential skills. Experience with P21 or the fastener industry is a plus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Communicate with customers by phone and email and receive orders.
  • Build and maintain customer relationships.
  • Enter new customer data and update sales data for current customers in computer database.
  • Work with outside sales representatives to keep account activities and communication up to date.
  • Prepare quotations for various customers upon request and distribute them appropriately.
  • Overcome technical and business objections of prospective customers.
  • Respond to customer requests promptly and efficiently.
  • Track stock levels and set up stock agreements with customers.
  • Confirm any scheduling and/or order changes with customers, as needed, and update customer with status of activity.
  • Investigate and resolve customer problems with deliveries.
  • Assist customer and arrange payment terms with accounting approval.
  • Enter orders into computer system in a manner that will prevent errors and omission.
  • Prepare and email technical literature to customer upon request.
  • Answer technical questions from customers.
  • Investigate and process return requests for defective material.
  • Possesses and follows behavioral competencies and necessary skills to achieve overall company desired results and expectations.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience in the hardware or construction industries a plus.
