EDUCATIONAL SERVICE DIST 112 is Hiring an Early Intervention Special Education Teacher (Anticipated Openings 24-25) Near Vancouver, WA

General ResponsibilitiesReporting directly to the Director of Early Intervention, the Early Intervention Special Education Teacher provides services to children birth to age three who are identified with a developmental delay or diagnosed condition. Early Intervention teachers provide early intervention strategies and supports in the areas of assessment, instruction, and consultation to staff and families of children age birth to three in natural environments as a primary service provider. Early Intervention teachers serve as a liaison with medical and community service providers on behalf of children with disabilities and their families.Salary:The full salary range for this position is $51,548.00 - $88,203.00. Salary placement is based on education and certificated experience. Assignment/Location:This position is full time, 185 day contract. We are building an applicant pool for 2024-2025 anticipated openings. Your application will be considered as positions become available. Estimated start date will be August 2024.Essential Functions/Other FunctionsEssential Functions:
  1. Provide formal and informal evaluations assessing functional capabilities of infants and toddlers on assigned caseload.
  2. Develop and implement specific goals with measurable outcomes in the Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP) in conjunction with the IFSP team.
  3. Maintain all Early Intervention documentation including EI state forms and written documentation of all evaluations, goals, outcomes, progress notes and communication with other providers and families.
  4. Ensure compliance with timelines for EI documentation.
  5. Participate as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
  6. Ensure the goals of the infant, toddler, and family are met as stated in the Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP).
  7. Provide consultation and home programs for the families/caregivers to facilitate goals as identified in the Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP).
Other Functions:
  1. Other duties as assigned.
  2. Availability to consult for other disciplines on an as-needed basis.
  3. Attend required meetings.
Minimum/Preferred Qualifications & SkillsMinimum Qualifications:
  1. Hold or be eligible to hold a valid Washington teaching certificate with an early childhood special education (preferred) or P-12 Special Education endorsement.
  2. Experience working with children ages birth to five and working with IFSPs and/or IEPs
  3. Experience working with families preferably in natural environments.
  4. Valid driver license.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. National Board Teacher Certification.
  2. Experience in the administration and provisions of early childhood special education services.
  3. Teaching experience.
  4. Experience training and supervising paraeducators.
  5. Experience in serving students in rural or remote districts.
Working Conditions/Employment RequirementsWorking Conditions:
  1. Travel within ESD 112 Special Education ESA region.
  2. May be assigned to more than one building/district.
  3. Physically able to perform duties of position in addition to the ability to get to a child's level, ability to bend and/or stoop.
Employment Requirements:
  1. Successful completion of a criminal history and fingerprint check through the Washington State Patrol and FBI.
  2. Driver's license and acceptable driving abstract.
