Description:
Intervention Specialist in an Elementary K-5 setting. This position will begin in the 2024/2025 school year.
Qualifications:

• Valid Ohio Teaching License as an Intervention Specialist (K-12)

Experience:

• Previous teaching experience developing and delivering services within Individual Educational Programs, Behavioral Intervention Plans, and Safety Plans;
• Previous experience providing/ensuring core instruction across a child's school day in accordance with Individual Education Plans, Behavioral Interventions, and Safety Plans.

Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

• Abides by all performance responsibilities of a classroom teacher;
• Participates in the assessment and design of services for student with disabilities;
• Participates in writing an individual educational program (IEP) for each assigned student;
• Plans and delivers services that meets the individual needs of the student as specified in the individual educational plan (IEP);
• Consults with classroom teachers on a regular basis to make recommendations concerning adjustment of academic and social strategies for students with disabilities;
• Consults with parents of students with disabilities on a regular basis about the student's progress;
• Conducts an ongoing assessment of each student's academic skills, making adjustments in teaching strategies and curriculum as needed;
• Serves as a resource person for faculty and administration as requested in the area of disability;
• Maintains appropriate records and provides data for completion of annual reports;
• Assumes other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned,

Salary and Range:
Commensurate with education and experience.
