Educational Service Center of Central Ohio (ESCCO) is Hiring an Intervention Specialist at Montrose Elementary Near Columbus, OH
Description: Intervention Specialist in an Elementary K-5 setting. This position will begin in the 2024/2025 school year. Qualifications:
Valid Ohio Teaching License as an Intervention Specialist (K-12)
Experience:
Previous teaching experience developing and delivering services within Individual Educational Programs, Behavioral Intervention Plans, and Safety Plans;
Previous experience providing/ensuring core instruction across a child's school day in accordance with Individual Education Plans, Behavioral Interventions, and Safety Plans.
Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Abides by all performance responsibilities of a classroom teacher;
Participates in the assessment and design of services for student with disabilities;
Participates in writing an individual educational program (IEP) for each assigned student;
Plans and delivers services that meets the individual needs of the student as specified in the individual educational plan (IEP);
Consults with classroom teachers on a regular basis to make recommendations concerning adjustment of academic and social strategies for students with disabilities;
Consults with parents of students with disabilities on a regular basis about the student's progress;
Conducts an ongoing assessment of each student's academic skills, making adjustments in teaching strategies and curriculum as needed;
Serves as a resource person for faculty and administration as requested in the area of disability;
Maintains appropriate records and provides data for completion of annual reports;
Assumes other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned,
Salary and Range: Commensurate with education and experience.
