TITLE: High School Treasurer - Coffman HS (24-25 School Yr) JOB STATUS: FLSA Overtime Eligible REPORTS TO: Building Administrator DEPARTMENT: Academics and Student Learning PAY RANGE: Four (4) POSITION SUMMARY: To ensure an accurate accounting of all financial matters associated with both activity and general fund expenditures. JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
A high school diploma or training and experience that are considered equivalent. Post high school training desirable.
Good typing and computer skills required.
Good communication skills necessary.
Knowledge of standard bookkeeping practices.
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Maintains a record of all student activity accounts.
Receives, counts, and deposits money in a timely fashion as required by law.
Enters requisitions into computerized accounting system.
Checks bills for all organizations excluding the Athletic Department.
Maintains a monthly statement of fund balances for all faculty sponsors of each activity program.
Assists advisors of school activity funds in keeping accurate records for each group.
Maintains a record of the yearly budget for the high school activity accounts.
Maintains a record of the yearly budget allocations for all the high school departments.
Maintains files and convenience copies of all purchase orders, requisitions, delivery receipts, and other related records until such time as they can be disposed.
Performs secretarial duties for the principal.
Reconciles/balances building petty cash checking account.
Maintains building inventory.
Collects all fines and returned checks.
Ensures the safety of students.
Establishes and maintains cooperative professional relationships.
Remains free of any alcohol or nonprescription controlled substance and abuse of any prescribed controlled substance in the workplace throughout employment in the district.
Exhibits professional behavior, emotional stability, and sound judgment.
Serves as a role model for students in how to conduct themselves as citizens and as responsible, and intelligent human beings.
Understands the legal responsibility to help instill in students the belief in, and practice of, ethical principles and democratic values.
Maintains confidentiality and respect for confidential information at all times.
Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or his/her designee.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 211 Days (183 Days; 8 paid holidays); 8 hours per day excluding lunch. Salary as provided by negotiated agreement. Work year to be established by the Board. SALARY: $20.25/HR. - $22.39/HR.
