Job Description
Position Summary :
Under direction of the Campus President and in coordination with the Director or Dean of Education (DOE), the Student Success Advisor (SSA) provides students with the support, coaching, and guidance required for students to be successful and complete their programs of study.
Additionally, the SSA serves the campus liaison for re-entry students from outreach to orientation and graduation. The SSA facilitates campus restart initiatives and is responsible for achieving and exceeding the assigned institutional restart goals.
SSAs coordinate students’ interactions with various internal and external departments and / or agencies including but not limited to Admissions, Education, Financial Aid, Business Office, Externship, Career Services, Espyr, and community support organizations.
The SSA establishes relationships with students and conducts non-academic advising with restart students and select at-risk students.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
updates student contact information in the student information system (SIS) sets students’ campus appointments and reminders as needed.
attends meetings / programs held for high-risk restart students.
Classification : Non-exempt
Work Hours : 40 hours per week
