Position Summary
The Logistics Assistant will assist the logistics department be providing exceptional customer service, monitor deliveries and assist with various administrative tasks. This position will collaborate with various departments to ensure customer satisfaction and accurate deliveries.
Essential Functions
Coordinate and communicate exceptional customer service to customers regarding delivery schedules, updates, and any delivery-related inquiries or issues.
Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and document preparation to support smooth operations.
Handle incoming calls, emails, and correspondence professionally and courteously, directing inquiries to the appropriate departments or individuals.
Navigate and utilize our logistics system effectively to track deliveries, update information, and resolve any issues.
Monitor delivery progress, address any delays or discrepancies, and communicate updates to Logistics Director promptly.
Collaborate with colleagues to streamline processes, improve service delivery, and contribute to a positive work environment.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, customer interactions, and logistical information for reporting and analysis purposes.
Assist in counting products to ensure accurate deliveries.
Demonstrate behaviors consistent with Arbor Valley’s fundamentals and culture.
Follow and comply with Arbor Valley’s policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
Work Environment
This job operates in both an office and outdoor environment.
Physical Demands
Prolonged periods of standing, bending, walking, lifting, and moving. Frequent motions include: grasping, seeing, other repetitive movements. Must be able to lift, carry, minimum up to 40 pounds, more with assistance. Must have physical stamina and the ability to perform physical demands in varying weather conditions.
