Edgewater Technical Associates is Hiring a Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Specialist Near Richland, WA

Edgewater is seeking qualified candidates for Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Specialist opportunities for our customer in Richland, WA to support the Hanford Site.

U.S. Citizenship Required

Position Overview:

As a Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Specialist you will support the company’s Software Quality Assurance Program with implementation and oversight for various production programs. You will work with production personnel to ensure software meets defined procedures and process requirements by providing software engineering expertise throughout the software life cycle. You will conduct and support software assessments in all areas of software engineering and support continuous improvements to program processes and procedures. You may serve as a lead for multiple projects and mentor staff in software engineering and quality principles.

Qualifications:

  • Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related discipline and 3-20 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Quality Knowledge: Intermediate to advanced knowledge of and demonstrated experience in the software verification and validation (V&V) processes.
  • Technical Knowledge: Intermediate to advanced knowledge of software engineering concepts, principles and standards.
  • Project Management: Intermediate to advanced knowledge of software project management and software project monitoring and control.
  • Systems Requirements: Intermediate to advanced knowledge with developing system requirements, software requirements specifications and functional interfaces between system software components and the system-level design.
  • Quality Assurance: Intermediate to advanced knowledge of software quality assurance and configuration management principles.
  • U.S. Citizenship Required
