Edgewater is seeking qualified candidates for a Quality Assurance (QA) support opportunity for our customerin Richland, WA to support the Hanford Site.
Assistant Manager for Safety and Quality, Quality Assurance Division (QAD)
Title: Quality Assurance (QA) support
Work Location: Work shall be conducted at the Department of Energy government offices, The Hanford Site, and Richland, WA.
SCOPE OF WORK
The Department of Energy (DOE) Hanford Site requires general support services for the Quality Assurance (QA) support requests one (1) full-time equivalent (FTE) general support contractor (1920 labor hours) to provide support in the following areas:
  • Provide oversight of DFLAW Commissioning, Maintenance, and Operation programs to verify QA program requirements are implemented.
  • Perform Quality assurance surveillance/audit and reports for DFLAW, DFLAW interfaces with other contractors, HLW, and Office of River Protection QA programs.
  • Communicate the results of the surveillances/audits through reports and oral presentations.
  • Review programs for identifying, correcting, and tracking non-compliances.
  • Evaluate QA performance based upon metrics and other data.
  • Support DFLAW Integrated Project Teams (IPTs).
  • Review causal analysis and actions taken to prevent the recurrence of conditions adverse to quality.
  • Ensure oversight results are entered into the integrated Contractor Assurance System (iCAS) database,
  • Participate in QAD staff and coordination meetings.
  • Utilize excellent writing and communication skills in all interactions.
Work products shall be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with established criteria. The Contractor shall ensure that duties are performed in a competent and professional manner. The Contractor employee shall submit a weekly report to the technical monitor addressing work accomplished, and deliverable progress.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Contractor personnel shall possess the following minimum qualifications:
  • Minimum of six years of experience Quality Assurance oversight as either a NQA-1 lead auditor or NQA-1 auditor.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in Quality Assurance oversight of nuclear Construction, Commissioning, Maintenance, and Operation activities.
  • Expertise in corrective action programs and causal analysis.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • Working knowledge of DOE policies and procedures.
  • Expert writing skills, proven experience in supporting programs and projects with analysis, tracking, monitoring, assessment, review and coordination.
  • Excellent communications skills.
  • Knowledge of MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and/or other MS Office tools.
  • Identification of any conflicts, potential conflicts, or perceived conflicts of interest with any Hanford Site contractors.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
  • Non-Disclosure/Conflict of Interest form signed by both the general support contractor and authorized contractor representative must be submitted to procurement before any work/support can start.
  • Identification of any conflicts, potential conflicts, or perceived conflicts of interest with any Hanford Site contractors.
  • Compliance with site specific safety and security requirements, including badging and office protocols.
  • The contractor shall maintain proficiency as NQA-1 lead auditor or auditor.

Compensation
Salary is commensurate with education and experience and may range between $140,000 to $165,000 annually
