Edgewater Technical Associates is Hiring a Project Construction Manager Near Aiken, SC

Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Project Construction Manager opportunity located at the Savannah River Site.
Work Location: Aiken, SC

Project Construction Manager-
Job Duties:
  • Manage established project costs, schedule, and technical baselines and provide effective management of project staff and matrixed personnel to control baselines.
  • Establish baseline schedules and costs for the current work year plan, annual operating plan, and five-year budget baseline for assigned projects.
  • Develop Life Cycle scope, cost and schedule estimates for projects consistent with funding guidance and project scope.
  • Ensure projects are managed with site Project Management Procedures, policies and DOE Order requirements and regulations.
  • Provide concise and accurate oral and written presentations to internal and external customers regarding project implementation plans, status, changes, and new approaches, including complex technical, organizational, and financial issues.
  • Develop innovative alternative strategies enabling the early achievement of milestones.
  • Perform risk analysis and provide decision authority for defining and approving corrective actions and establishing priorities.
  • Manage project efforts to ensure project progress is within schedule, cost, technical, environmental, and legal baseline.
  • Ensure timely submission of all required progress and status reports.
Education:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in a technical or business-related discipline, mastery of governing DOE Orders with emphasis on DOE project management requirements.
Experience:
  • A minimum of nine (9) years of Project related experience with at least five (5) years managing personnel.
  • Thorough knowledge of Construction, Engineering, Procurement, Project Controls, and other project related activities, including their inter dependencies.
  • Recognized as a leader in Project Management skills, including planning, scheduling, estimating, cost control, risk management, quality management, scope control, and communication.
  • Must be cognizant of similar programs and projects industry wide (with a special emphasis withing the DOE complex) and have the ability to network company and industry resources bringing the best technology and solutions for the customer’s benefit.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to both technical and nontechnical audiences, to work interactively with other division management, and to establish and maintain strong and effective customer relations.
  • Ability to build and empower high performance teams that will be proficient in the accomplishment of project scope.
  • Ability to understand the larger picture, set and communicate expectations, goals, and objectives such that successful planning is achievable.
  • Thorough understanding of business processes related to budgeting, fee negotiating, fee determination, and cost performance concepts.
  • Extensive demonstrated experience, mastery level expertise and performance.
Required Skills:
  • Must possess Problem Solving Skills
  • Must possess Skills of Persuasion
Preferred Job Qualifications:
  • Possessed active DOE clearance (“L” or “Q”) within the past two (2) years.
Other Requirements:
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE “Q” security clearance.
