 The Edgewater Hotel is looking for an energetic, friendly, service-oriented Assistant Director of Finance! You will work closely with the Director of Finance in ensuring accurate and compliant accounting of the hotels budgets and finances. 

 The ideal candidate possesses: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or related field preferred: or a combination of education and work experience
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience as a hotel controller, hotel assistant controller or hotel accounting manager.
  • Experience with full cycle accounting processes and payroll
  • A proficiency in income audit, accounts payable, accounts receivable, GL accounting, sales tax filings, collections, and financial reporting
  • Experience in the managing month-end cycle through balance sheet and bank reconciliations, along with financial statement preparation and analysis
  • Budgeting and forecasting skills
  • Excellent administrative, interpersonal , written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Detail oriented and operate with a high degree of accuracy, initiative and integrity.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as cohesively with a team

  • Proactively supporting the hotel departments to achieve their goals and objectives 
  • Seeking alignment with your team and other leaders
  • Proactively managing change

You have strong business skills: 

  • Tech savvy, utilizing technology for efficiencies and accuracy
  • Deliver great customer service to internal clients
  • Strong budgetary, projections, and cost control skills 
  • Take responsibility/accountability
  • Creative problem solving skill, you can think creatively 
  • Forecasting skills 
  • Juggle and balance the needs of company and owner

Salary Range: $90,000 to $105,000, plus 10% bonus potential
