Edgewater Federal Solutions is Hiring a Mid-Level VoIP Engineer Near Ridge, TN

Overview

Edgewater is currently seeking a skilled Mid-Level VOIP Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Mid-Level VOIP Engineer, you will be responsible for executing various elements of VoIP for our client’s organization, including the development of resilient telephony environments and the integration of voice and video telephony solutions. You will play a crucial role in assessing and communicating with SIP providers, as well as performing operation and maintenance tasks to ensure continuous system functionality and security. This position offers the opportunity to work on challenging projects and contribute to the advancement of the customer’s VoIP infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and eliminate excessive, ineffective, or duplicate VoIP solutions.
  • Develop resilient and robust telephony environments to support remote work and advanced technologies.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of VoIP business processes, software/applications, and infrastructure.
  • Lead the development and implementation of VoIP Zero Trust Architecture and IPv6 Architecture.
  • Replace, upgrade, design, and integrate Voice and Video telephony solutions.
  • Configure and deploy IP Voice and Video conference room capabilities.
  • Collaborate with SIP providers for number allocation, SIP trunking, and security assessment.
  • Perform routine Operation and Maintenance tasks to ensure 24/7 operational functionality and system security.
  • Conduct testing and troubleshooting with end users during times of degraded service.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant experience
  • 3 years of experience in VoIP engineering or related role.
  • Proficiency in telephony environments, routing, and dial plans.
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols and security principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proven track record of implementing VoIP solutions in enterprise environments.
