Edgemere is Hiring a Director of Culinary Near Dallas, TX

Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Director of Culinary to join our team at Bay 9 Holdings LLC dba Edgemere located in Dallas, Texas. The Director of Culinary Services oversees the culinary efforts and hospitality to the residents and guests of the community. The director manages the culinary services department, operating expenditures, enforcement of policies, team member career development and leads the department in achieving an extraordinary culinary experience for the residents.

 
Compensation & Benefits:
This is a full-time, salaried position, with a starting salary of $36.00 per hour. In addition, Bay 9 Holdings LLC dba Edgemere offers competitive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance benefits, generous PTO and holiday vacation time, and 401K.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure resident satisfaction levels are achieved by offering quality menu items and hospitality services.
  • Provide leadership and vision by developing strategic plans. Implement community strategic plans, evaluate progress and measure results.
  • Develop and operate within annual budget which includes but is not limited to labor, operations, inventory, and capital.
  • Hire, supervise, schedule, train, performance management and disciplinary action for assigned team members.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce department policies.
  • Oversee the engagement, relations, recognition, and retention of department.
  • Present and coordinate training and development for team members.
  • Maintain and update electronic tracking systems which include menu development software, timekeeping system, bill pay, and point of sale program.
  • Oversee department equipment and ensure it is in safe and operational order.
  • Participate and serve on resident culinary committee, quality assurance committee, safety and risk management committee, other assigned committees, and department director meetings.
  • Comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations; maintains knowledge of and follows all company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance at work and meetings.Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Eight to ten years of managing a culinary department experience.
  • State Certified in Safe Food Handling and Sanitation if state certification program exists.
  • Certified Dietary Manager preferred.
  • Food Handler certification obtained within 60 days of hire as required by state guidelines, if state certification program exists
