Manager of Financial Reporting

The Manager, Financial Reporting is a key member of the Reporting Function and assists with the planning, preparation and review of all financial reporting requirements, including, but not limited to, quarterly reports and annual reports. The Manager of Financial Reporting is also responsible for the preparation, project plan development and coordination of approximately 10 statutory audits and plays a key role in other projects as they arise statutory filings. This position will report to the VP of Accounting and has a hybrid work schedule (2 days in office).

Primary Responsibilities

• Prepares and/or assist in the preparation and review of quarterly statements and annual financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP/IFRS.
• Assists in the preparation of the monthly reporting package, including performing various analytical reviews and prepares monthly ad-hoc reports.
• Assists with coordination, planning and completion of approximately 10 statutory/lender reports including managing external resources including auditors, legal contacts and others to ensure timely filing in various jurisdictions.
• Prepares/assist in debt compliance requirements, including but not limited to calculating debt covenant ratios, preparing compliance certificates, and managing lender inquiries.
• Monitors and enhance the procedures related to the external reporting process to ensure compliance with the Company’s internal control process.
• Participate with the implementation of new reporting standards in compliance with both U.S. GAAP and IFRS.
• Assists/prepares monthly intercompany reconciliation and records quarterly allocation entries as needed. Coordinates with the Director of tax on various accounting issues.
• Interface with external auditors and other advisors, as needed.

Education/Experience

• 5 years of managerial responsibilities covering financial accounting and reporting areas.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required
• Public Accounting experience required
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field
• Strong PC skills to include Microsoft Office, specifically advanced in Excel
• Candidates with experience in the Real Estate industry and working knowledge of NetSuite are strongly encouraged to apply
