ECU Health is a mission-driven, 1,708-bed academic health care system serving more than 1.4 million people in 29 eastern North Carolina counties. Position Summary

The Police Captain performs a complete range of law enforcement services for the ECU Health Police Department. Manages plans and coordinates the activities and operations of police services for assigned area of responsibility.
This position is primarily assigned to report and work at a home region, but may be assigned to other regions as needed.

Minimum Requirements

High School plus 2 years of formal education is required (or higher).
2 additional years experience in a leadership role may substitute for the 2 additional years of education.
Basic Law Enforcement Training is required.
Law Enforcement Certification by State of North Carolina is required.
Minimum 6 years LE experience required, minimum 3 years of experience in a law enforcement leadership role.

Other Information

Shift: Primarily day shift position. Could require some nights and weekends.
