ECS_FEDERAL is Hiring a Senior Action Officer (DARPA) Near Arlington, VA

ECS is seeking a Senior Action Officer (DARPA) to work in our Arlington, Va office. Please Note: This position is contingent upon contract award.

Job Description:

Anticipate start is early May 2024.

ECS is preparing to provide critical support to the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DAPRA), specifically to the Director's Office (DIRO).Come join our team to help maintain the technological superiority of the U.S. military.

This billet is in direct support of the DARPA Front Office.Candidate needs to provide the highest level of professional support.

Duties will include conceiving, planning, and conducting research in problem areas of considerable scope and complexity requiring unconventional or novel approaches and sophisticated research techniques.

Required Skills:

  • Active DoD security clearance required.
  • US Citizenship required per contract.
  • 7 Years experience providing Scientific/Engineering support.
  • Experience at progressively more difficult levels in planning and developing technical projects of an R&D nature, concerned with unique or controversial problems which have an important effect on major DoD programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to make decisions independently on R&D engineering problems and methods, and to resolve important questions and to plan and coordinate work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to multi-task and respond to quick turn-around requests.
  • Must have good rapport at dealing with the public, customer service expertise, excellent oral/written communication skills, and excellent organizational & time-management skills.

Desired Skills:

  • 3 years extensive experience, background and knowledge of one or more DARPA programs is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in the use of advanced techniques, theories, precepts, and practices in one or more DARPA technical areas is desired.
  • Published articles in Field of Expertise highly desirable.
  • DoD experience highly desirable.
