About The Role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of hands-on experience in bookkeeping, accounting, and financial management. As a Full Charge Bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization. Experience in professional services is a plus.

You're Excited About This Opportunity Because You Will...

  1. Complete Bookkeeping Cycle: Manage the entire bookkeeping cycle, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and financial reporting. You have a strong understanding of the adjustments from accrual and cash accounting, Prepaid expenses and accrued liabilities.
  2. Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements on a regular basis. Provide insights and recommendations to management based on financial analysis.
  3. Tax Compliance: Coordinate with external accountants to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations and to prepare and file relevant tax documents in a timely manner.
  4. Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with management to develop budgets and forecasts. Monitor and report on budget variances, providing insights into financial performance.
  5. Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow effectively, ensuring there is adequate liquidity for daily operations. Implement strategies to optimize cash flow.
  6. Financial Audits: Coordinate and facilitate financial audits, working closely with auditors to provide necessary documentation and ensure a smooth audit process.
  7. Financial Systems: Utilize accounting software and financial management systems to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  8. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance efficiency in financial operations.

Requirements

What It Takes To Be Successful...

  • Education: Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in bookkeeping and financial management.
  • Certifications: Professional certifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Bookkeeper (CB) are a plus.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero), MS Office Suite, and data summarization tools (e.g., Excel pivot tables). Capable of extracting reports from payroll systems (e.g., ADP Workforce Now) and timekeeping/invoicing systems (e.g., Replicon, BigTime).
  • Analytical Skills: Data driven mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and interact effectively with cross-functional teams.

The below represents the expected salary range for this position in California. We take a number of factors into account when determining compensation including your location, experience, and other job-related factors.

Salary Range: $65,000 to $75,000 annually benefits
