Eco Material Technologies is Hiring an Equipment Operator Near Orlando, FL

JOB SUMMARY

The Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe operation of FEL, excavators, dozers, articulated trucks, ECranebarge loader, and any other equipment as assigned. In addition, the Equipment Operator is responsible for the daily checks and maintenance activities for the assigned equipment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Comply with Eco Material Technologies Safety Policies and Procedures 

  • Adheres to all safety and company standards while performing job functions

  • Reports any safety concerns or violations to supervisor 

  • Performs pre-operation and post-operation inspection of the equipment and ensures windows, lights, mirrors, and equipment are clean

  • Reports any necessary equipment repairs to supervisor. Safely and productively operates equipment complying with manufacturer and company approved techniques 

  • Achieves maximum productivity while operating equipment

  • Completes daily lubrication and minor service on equipment

  • Checks and maintains fluid levels in equipment

  • Ensures that equipment is properly cleaned, serviced, and stored at the end of each shift

  • Cleans tracks or wheels and moving components on equipment

  • Regular attendance, timeliness and scheduling flexibility

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES 

  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions

  • Demonstrate ability to safely operate and maintain equipment

  • Working knowledge of hazards and safety precautions common to equipment operations

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

The employee should have the following:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and training or certification in relevant skill or trade

  • 1 - 2 years' experience in a relevant field

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

The employee should possess the ability to:

  • Be exposed to sounds or noise levels that maybe uncomfortable

  • Prolong standingon concrete or in stationary positionfor up to eight hours per workday

  • Complete repetitive movements

  • Moderate to high physical effort required

  • Wear all required personal protective equipment (hearing, vision and hardhat protection)

  • Lift/move/transport items up to 50pounds

  • Ability to move or traverse about the facilities 

  • Must be able to ascend/descend stairs or ladders 

  • Ability to work around dust, chemicals, and other substances, and in various environmental conditions

RESUMEN DE TRABAJO

El operador del equipo es responsable de la operación segura de FEL, excavadoras, bulldozers, camiones articulados, ECrane, cargador de barcazas y cualquier otro equipo asignado. Además, el operador del equipo es responsable de las comprobaciones diarias y las actividades de mantenimiento del equipo asignado.

FUNCIONES ESENCIALES:

  • Cumplir con las políticas y procedimientos de seguridad de Eco Material Technologies

  • Se adhiere a todos los estándares de seguridad y de la compañía mientras realiza funciones de trabajo

  • Informa cualquier preocupación o violación de seguridad al supervisor

  • Realiza una inspección previa y posterior a la operación del equipo y asegura que las ventanas, luces, espejos y equipo estén limpios

  • Reporta cualquier reparación de equipo necesaria al supervisor. Opera de manera segura y productiva los equipos que cumplen con las técnicas aprobadas por el fabricante y la compañía

  • Logra la máxima productividad al operar equipos

  • Completa la lubricación diaria y reparaciones menores en el equipo

  • Verifica y mantiene los niveles de fluidos en el equipo

  • Asegura que el equipo se limpia, repara y almacena adecuadamente al final de cada turno

  • Limpia pistas o ruedas y componentes móviles en el equipo

  • Tener una asistencia regular, puntualidad y flexibilidad de horario

CONOCIMIENTOS, HABILIDADES Y CAPACIDADES

  • Capacidad para comprender y seguir instrucciones verbales y escritas

  • Demostrar capacidad para operar y mantener equipos de manera segura

  • Conocimiento práctico de los peligros y las precauciones de seguridad comunes en las operaciones del equipo

EDUCACIÓN Y/O EXPERIENCIA

El empleado debe tener lo siguiente:

  • Diploma de Secundaria o equivalente y entrenamiento o certificado en habilidad o oficio relevante

  • 1-2 Anos de experiencia relevante

REQUISITOS FÍSICOS ESENCIALES/ENTORNO DE TRABAJO

El empleado debe poseer la capacidad de:

  • Exponerse a sonidos o niveles de ruido que pueden ser incómodos

  • Capacidad de aguantar de pie sobre concreto o en una posición estacionaria hasta ocho horas por dia de trabajo

  • Completarmovimientosrepetitivos

  • Se requiere esfuerzo físico de moderado a alto

  • Usar todo el equipo de protección personal requerido (protección auditiva, visual y casco)

  • Levantar/mover/transportar artículos de hasta 50 libras
