Job Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Assistant Property Manager. In this role, you will assist in the day-to-day operations of our properties, ensuring a positive experience for our residents and maintaining the overall success of the property. Responsibilities: - Assist with property leasing activities, including showing units to prospective tenants, conducting background checks, and preparing lease agreements. - Coordinate move-in and move-out processes, including conducting inspections and ensuring units are ready for new tenants. - Handle tenant inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints in a timely and professional manner. - Assist in the collection of rent payments and ensure all financial records are accurate and up to date. - Assist with property maintenance by coordinating repairs, scheduling contractors, and ensuring work is completed in a timely manner. - Maintain accurate records of all property-related activities using property management software such as Yardi or OneSite. - Assist with the implementation of marketing strategies to attract new tenants and retain existing ones. - Collaborate with the Property Manager to develop and implement policies and procedures to improve property performance. - Build strong relationships with residents through excellent customer service and effective communication. Requirements: - Previous experience in property management or a related field is preferred. - Familiarity with Section 8, LIHTC, and other affordable housing programs is a plus. - Proficiency in property management software such as Yardi or OneSite. - Knowledge of property maintenance practices and ability to coordinate repairs. - Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with residents, vendors, and team members. - Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. - Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills. - Basic knowledge of contract management principles. - Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) is a plus.
