Job Summary
This role is suited for a passionate and entrepreneurial individual looking to make an impact as part of ECMC Group’s Education Impact Fund (“EIF”). The Program Manager will primarily support the creation and execution of EIF’s new Fellowship Program, which will launch as a 3-year pilot program starting in 2024. Through grants from ECMC Foundation, the program aims to provide much-needed start-up capital to aspiring entrepreneurs with game changing ideas who come from low-income and under-resourced communities. Each paid, two-year fellowship grant will enable selected Fellows to pursue entrepreneurship as a viable pathway following postsecondary completion, with the goal of expanding access to entrepreneurship as a career pathway, supporting wealth creation for underrepresented founders, and uplifting communities.
Working alongside colleagues of ECMC Group’s Education Impact Fund and ECMC Foundation, the Program Manager will help plan, launch, and execute the Fellowship program over the next three years, including strategic planning, site selection, recruiting and selecting fellows, and building collaborative relationships with ecosystem partners and like-minded funders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Act as the point of contact between Fellows, stakeholders and ECMC Group
  • Recruit, vet, and lead selection process participants for each Fellowship program
  • Cultivate curriculum based on cohort needs in each location; consider state-specific programs that are available and may be helpful for the founders to understand
  • Engage with the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the community and/or industry and, over time, establish themself as a trustworthy and reliable source of mentorship and connections
  • Assist alumni with ongoing mentor, sponsor and investor relations
  • Create measurements and track alumni economic impact and funding sources
  • Be a steadfast advocate for our partner startups and entrepreneurs
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

  • Exceptional verbal and writing skills, with the ability to write clearly and concisely
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage multiple project timelines and deliverables
  • Demonstrated ability to rapidly learn industries, sectors, and dive deeper into the world of startups and entrepreneurship.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 10% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with programs intended to make an impact supporting equity across socioeconomic status, race, place and gender
