Position Overview:
- This position will report to the AVP, BU Controller. The Revenue Accounting Manager will be part of a fast-paced Accounting and Finance organization, supporting a growing company with a rapidly expanding customer base.
Pay Rate: 48.77 - 65.00 $/Hour
Responsibilities:
- Manages accounting process for all contracts with customers, including SaaS, professional services, commissions revenue and revenue resulting from revenue share agreements
- Review of complex customer contracts and determine the accounting treatment under ASC 606
- Prepare technical accounting memos documenting the company's accounting position on complex customer contracts
- Serve as accounting liaison with the business for the Client accounting stream
- Manages and directs activities for 2-5 direct reports
- Hosts regular meetings with operations
- Assist with pre-sale contract reviews
- Assist in development and review of various revenue policies, streamline process and recommend and direct process improvements
- Preparation and review of revenue related SEC Disclosures
- Review adequacy of constraint and contract asset to identify change in estimates before they become errors
- Work with FP&A and Sales Operations on estimates and completeness of estimates for all commissions and revenue share agreements – by Carrier/group/product
- Coordinate review with external technical accounting resources on appropriate application of GAAP to unusual agreements
- Monitor and review of variable accounting related to BP
- Review of all constraint portfolio calculations on a monthly basis for adequacy
- Review of all Balance Sheet Account Recons
Required Skills:
- 6 years of relevant experience in accounting with management experience
- Experience with revenue recognition, preferably in software industry
- Full proficiency in Excel beyond basic use (pivots, xlookups, etc.)
- Experience in a large ERP, Oracle RMCS, is a plus
