ECi Software Solutions Career is Hiring a Product Owner Near Fort Worth, TX

The Product Owner must be a problem-solver focused on understanding and translating operational business practices into working solution via an Agile SDL and helping ECI achieve their desired business outcomes. As a member of the Product Management / Product Owner team, responsibilities include:• Defining the customer and business needs• Researching technical considerations, existing product functionality, and other related matters in depth to develop a recommended set of functional specifications, technical specification, user stories and related content (workflows, etc) needed to understand the options to solve the customer and business needed• Communicating these needs to the Product Owner/ Product Manager• Working as a member of an agile development team to deliver the productCandidates are expected to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish a variety of complicated tasks and goals. A wide degree of technical proficiency, creativity, and latitude is expected. This position reports to the Senior Product Manager. This position requires 5% to 15% travel and the ability to work across time-zones. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: • Collaborate with the Product Management team and stakeholders to understand the customer, business and market needs and ensure alignment with product portfolio vision, portfolio roadmap & integration and stability across verticals and products• Translate the customer, business and market needs into product requirements that solve the customer business problem or optimizes the business practice• Evaluate and invent new feature ideas.• Participate in the product life cycle from conception through release• Enjoy spending time in the market to understand the opportunities or issues, and find innovative solutions• Represents, interfaces with, and engages with business users• Act as a fully integrated Scrum team member• Use clear goals to communicate project vision at the beginning of every release and sprint so that the team understands the target objectives• Makes business decisions and clearly communicates requirements through epics and stories so that they are understood• Communicates status outside the team and provides progress reporting for transparency.• Always accessible and participates proactively and constantly in the team activities• Provides team and team member performance feedback• Occasional customer and vendor visits for evaluation and scoping• Visible, vocal and objectiveKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES, EDUCATION & EXPEREINCE• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related discipline. Education requirements may be satisfied with commensurate experience• 5 – 7 years of experience with progressively responsible software product management or software development work• Product development or product management experience with ERP, supply chain and/or point-of-sale solutions.• Ownership mentality to lead the team through direct management, peer collaboration, and influencing others to deliver quality solutions in a timely manner• Practical experience implementing Agile methods to drive team performance and a track record of success using the Agile method to deliver software products• Formal product owner and Agile training are very desirable• Knowledge of VersionOne a plus• Strong verbal and written communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, flexibility and adaptability to change, decision-making and critical thinking skill• Strong analytical, technical, verbal and written communication skills• Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and track multiple tasks to successful completion.• A team player who can work flexible hours#LI-REMOTE
