ECI Software Solutions is looking for a Documentation Specialist who is a highly motivated self-starter capable of working independently to document a Lumber, Building Materials, and Hardware-specific ERP system. The Documentation Specialist will be responsible for producing documentation in a variety of formats, including, but not limited to user guides, online help, and knowledge base articles. This individual must be able to adapt to our corporate writing style and image and manage multiple projects and deadlines. This position is highly technical, and the ideal candidate must be able to effectively translate developer notes, demos, functional documents, etc., into customer-friendly documentation. The Documentation Specialist must also be able to write professionally, apply edits/constructive criticism to future projects, and must be able to do independent research, when necessary. Responsibilities:Ensure documentation reflects a consistent image of ECI through style, diction, and word usage.Collaborate with Product Management, Support, Quality Assurance, and Development to produce accurate product documentation, including online help, user guides, and knowledge articles, which coincide with the current release. Edit documentation written by other team members for grammar and corporate style.Create/edit written content and design styles, formatting, and flow in Madcap FlareAttend sprint reviews, standups, demos, and other product meetings, as necessary.Other duties as assigned. QualificationsExperience working on complex software systems with multiple projects/deadlines.Ability to write clearly and concisely at a professional level, including mastering details and arranging information into a logical order.Basic proofreading skills and strong attention to detailBasic computer skills, such as using a network, multi-factor authentication security protocols, remote desktop access, etc.Must have basic familiarity with word processing, desktop publishing, and online help software. Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in English, Technical Writing, Liberal Arts, Journalism, or equivalent job experienceExperience with the Madcap Flare Experience with Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OutlookThree years of professional writing experience or technical writing certification #LI-SC1
