Position Title: 3rd Shift Fraud Specialist

Duration: 3 months (contract-to-hire)

Target Start Date: March 25th

Location: Kansas City

Schedule: Hybrid

Night Shift: 6:30pm – 5am

Summary: The BankCard Security Center Team is an integral part of our ongoing efforts to prevent and limit debit, consumer credit, and commercial credit card losses to customers and the bank through fraud and dispute claims filing, early fraud detection, and customer education on situations involving scams and financial exploitation. The Fraud Specialist serves as the frontline customer contact on behalf of our Fraud and Dispute Investigation and Detection teams in a fast-paced, collaborative contact center environment and provides critical assistance to our valued customers in times of need 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Required Skills:

• Associate’s degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience required
• 1 years customer service or fraud prevention/case investigation experience required
• Banking and/or fraud prevention experience preferred
• Intermediate knowledge of banking products and card processing
• Ability to learn and retain knowledge of regulations such as Reg E and Reg Z, as well as Visa and Mastercard network rule
• Ability to maintain professionalism with customers during difficult situations while maintaining a high degree of confidentiality
• General understanding of computer systems
• Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities, and work independently
• Inquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Outlook, Word, and Teams
• Handle inbound and outbound calls regarding suspicious activity across all card products, including Commercial and Consumer customers
• Process customer inquiries regarding fraudulent activity or disputed charges on their account
• Identify and report trends on scams, elder or vulnerable adult financial exploitation, suspicious callers, and other situations to protect customer and bank assets
• Complete intake for Reg E and Reg Z dispute and fraud cases for all card products
• Resolve problems/troubleshoot issues related to card transactions and/or online websites utilizing multiple systems
• Research and partner with appropriate team members, internal partners, and vendors to find answers when needed
• Close and reissue lost/stolen or compromised cards
• Complete account maintenance utilizing complex card systems
• Monitor and process fraud detection queues and VCAS account activity
• Perform other duties as assigned
