Overview:

The East Baton Rouge Parish Communications District seeks a full-time GIS Manager (Geographic Information System). Our office is located in the Bon Carre' Technology Park on Florida Blvd in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The ideal candidate will have expertise in GIS, CAD, project management, data visualization, databases, data collection, scripting, and data management, as well as knowledge of emergency services.

Duties:

- Oversee the development and implementation of GIS projects while providing technical support and training to GIS users
- Manage, analyze and interpret spatial databases and ensure data integrity
- Coordinates with Public Safety Agencies to create, maintain, and improve GIS Data
- Create, maintain, and improve Public Safety Response Zones
- Monitors GIS network performance, troubleshoots issues and deploys solutions
- Maintain MSAG entries and transition to NG911 DBF

Skills:

- Proficiency in GIS software and tools
- Experience with data visualization techniques
- Knowledge of CAD (Computer Aided Dispatch) software
- Ability to script for automation tasks
- Excellent data management capabilities
- Attention to detail and accuracy in applying solutions within GIS environments
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
