Department: Warehouse

Summary: This position is responsible for monitoring warehouse inventory and performing cycle counting duties to ensure all materials are verified and reflective of reported inventory.

Essential Functions of the Job: This position will maintain inventory accuracy through proper counting, processing of material reports and transfers. Responsible for answering to Logistics Management.

• Performing cycle counts with scanner, each day adjusting and documenting as required.
• Verify inventory levels by physically counting stock on hand, comparing counts to computer records, and investigating discrepancies.
• Ensure all items in the warehouse are appropriately received and stored.
• Investigate root causes of inventory discrepancies, such as inaccuracies in receiving, picking, or shipping processes, and take appropriate corrective actions.
• Submits up to date accurate inventory and rack locations reports.
• Trains other employees in cycle counting & inventory control.
• Must be able to safely drive turret truck, sit down lifts and other warehouse equipment.
• Assist in timely location of parts for Material Handlers, Planning, & Quality for quick resolution of issues affecting operations.
• Always maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy, streamline cycle counting processes, and minimize shrinkage through procedural enhancements or system improvements.
• Exhibits the ability to work well with others and maintain organization between cross-departmental lines.
• Communicate any issues with Logistics Management or Planners.
• Perform all other duties assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; or minimum three years related experience.
• Possess effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Direct working experience in warehousing and/or inventory management.
• Proficient with computers utilizing Microsoft Office software/applications

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour
