WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR :

EBA Engineering, Inc. (EBA) is seeking Construction Inspectors, from entry level to senior level inspectors, to become part of our construction management and inspection team and work on highway construction projects in the Fredericksburg, NOVA, Lynchburg, Charlottesville, and / or Culpeper Districts! YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES :

In your role as a Construction Inspector, your primary duties will include :

• Conducting thorough inspections of roadway, structure, and bridge construction / maintenance projects to ensure quality control and contract compliance.
• Communicating inspection findings through clear and concise written reports and verbal communication.
• Applying mathematical principles, including algebra and geometry, to perform accurate measurements and calculations.
• Using materials testing equipment to assess quality and durability.
• Preparing and maintaining project records using contract management and Microsoft 365 software.

CORE REQUIREMENTS :

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and characteristics :

• A current and valid driver's license
• A high school diploma or a high school equivalent certification
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written
• Proficiency in mathematics, including algebra, geometry, and trigonometry
• Ability to use materials testing equipment effectively
• Competence in personal computers (Windows and MS Office applications) and project / contract management software
• Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds; walking over rough and uneven terrain; standing for up to 12 hours a day on occasion;

bending, stooping, kneeling, and twisting; using hands to grasp and reach; raising hands above the head; sitting; climbing; and balancing

• Ability to work in various weather conditions and terrains is necessary
• NICET Level II or VDOT Soil and Aggregate Compaction, VDOT Asphalt Field Level I & II, ACI Concrete Field Technician Level I or VDOT Hydraulic Cement Concrete Field, OSHA 10, and Nuclear Gauge Safety certifications are required

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS :

• Prior experience with Virginia Department of Transportation
• VDOT Pavement Marking, Slurry Surfacing, Surface Treatment, and Flagger certifications; Virginia DEQ Certification for Erosion and Sediment Control Inspection;

OSHA Intermediate Work Zone Traffic Control; GRIT (Guardrail Certification), and Virginia DEQ Stormwater Management (Inspector) Certification
