Eaton is Hiring an Assembler (Tanker) - 1st Shift Near Waukesha, WI

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Assembler (Tanker) - 1st Shift to join our team on Lincoln Ave. in Waukesha, WI!

The hourly rate for this position is $24.50 per hour. The core hours are 5 am - 1 pm.

What you’ll do:

The assembly tanker is responsible for Tank substation and three-phase pad-mounted transformers, making all necessary connections to bushings, switches, etc.

In this function, you will:

  • Locate and move tanks, parts, and covers to assembly area.
  • Assemble bushings and current transformers to cover or tank as specified.
  • Mount cores and coils in tank and bolts in place. Clamps cover in place and makes all electrical connections to bushings. Mounts tap changer, switches, current transformers, and vacuum fault interrupters.
  • Locate and assemble all accessories, such as oil level gauges, thermometer, pressure-vacuum gauge, pressure relief device, etc. to the tank as specified.
  • Check all lead clearances inside unit and assembles needed spacers and or insulating barriers as required.
  • Perform resistance testing on small pad-mounted transformers.
  • VFI, Load break switches.
  • Build CT’s, PT’s., and fuse racks.
  • Read blueprints and schematics

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree) from an accredited institution is required.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future.
  • No relocation is being offered for this role. All candidates considered must live within 50 miles of the Waukesha, WI facility. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Education in AC/DC fundamentals
  • Minimum of one (1) year previous electrical experience


Skills:

  • Ability to work overtime when required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 LBS; bend, twist, grab, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, use both hands to lift and lower materials, and perform all other essential duties with or without reasonable accommodations.
