1.0 STATEMENT OF THE JOB:

The Line Assembler is responsible for taking all of the individual motor components and positioning them together in an order corresponding with the motor outline specification required for a completed motor.

2.0 JOB DUTIES:

• 2.1 Place spacer, felt, and nylatron washers on end of rotor.
• 2.2 Places nuts on assembly plate along with the bottom case and rotor.
• 2.3 Place stator and top case on assembly plate.
• 2.4 Put bolts on the motor, tapping the motor with a hammer to seat the top case.
• 2.5 Operate air guns.
• 2.6 Operate tester.
• 2.7 Check the spin of the motor, the end play, and bolt torque using proper gauging.
• 2.8 Label and pack motor in box and fill out the packing slip.
• 2.9 Perform additional duties as assigned.

3.0 REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

The Line Assembler does repetitive work with hands and arms at the same time. This position also requires the ability to walk, stoop, bend, and lift throughout the shift. The ability to use small hand tools and measuring devices is essential. The Line Assembler must have the ability to lift 30 lbs repetitively.

4.0 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Safety glasses and hearing protection are required. The employee works in a climate controlled environment.
