The Eaton RE-2 School District encompasses the towns of Eaton and Galeton in central Weld County. Galeton is located 7 miles east of Eaton. It is a school-centered community that takes pride in their schools. Eaton school district serves around 1990 students in five schools, three elementary, one middle, and one high school. Eaton Elementary serves 411 students in kindergarten through fifth grade, Benjamin Eaton Elementary serves 395 in kindergarten through fifth grade, and Galeton Elementary serves 130 students on the eastern side of the district in preschool through fifth. Eaton Middle school hosts 485 students in sixth, seventh, and eight grades and Eaton High School serves 580 students from ninth to twelfth grade.
Eaton and Galeton are a short drive north of Greeley and east of Fort Collins, Colorado. Primarily an agricultural community, Eaton retains its small town charm while attracting families that work in larger towns/cities. Our proximity to Denver and Rocky Mountain National Park provides our students access to high-quality museums, amenities, and events. We are within a short drive of four different colleges/universities, Aims Community College, Colorado State University, Front Range Community College, and the University of Northern Colorado.
Educational Technology Coordinator
SUMMARY OF JOB DESCRIPTION: The Educational Technology Coordinator implements, coordinates, and evaluates the integration of educational technology as tools to support instruction. Main responsibilities include maintaining curricular digital accounts for students and staff, analysis of student data to support instruction, academics and school safety. Supporting the Director of Student Services assessment coordination and implementation of state exams. Support District Database Manager in Infinite Campus data pulls and other data pulls as requested by outside entities while serving as an auxiliary technology support for students and teachers.
Supervised by: Superintendent and/or Director of Student Services
Qualifications required:
1. High school diploma or equivalent required
2. College degree and/or job related experience preferred
3. Effective communication and interpersonal skills
4. Pass pre-employment background check upon job offer
5. Physical ability to perform all job functions
6. Willingness to follow written or verbal directions
7. Mechanical aptitude
8. Ability to complete tasks independently and safely
9. Must be able to work flexible hours when determined by the Superintendent and/or Director of Student Services
Essential Function/Responsibilities
1. Understanding of technology integration in support of the instructional program
2. Ability to develop and maintain cooperative relationships with community members, certified staff, and classified staff
3. Assists with the general maintenance of all school and network workstations and printers 4. Assists certified staff with the daily software troubleshooting of all school technological digital accounts
5. Ability to articulate and communicate complex technology concepts effectively in non-technical terms in a compelling manners
6. Have the ability to assist teachers and administrators to integrate educational technology into the curriculumand theinstructional programs in support of student achievement in the Colorado State Standards
7. Maintain all user accounts for the district ensuring all security measures are in place
8. Responsible for all technological aspects of assessments including but not limited to:
a. District Technology Coordinator for all local and state assessments
b. Ensuring technology is prepared and students are rostered for all local and state assessments
c. Uploading assessment data to student information system d. Analyzing and providing reports for school principals, superintendent and school board directors
9. Work to improve the overall quality of education received by students in the school
10. Pursue professional growth.
11. Other duties as assigned
Length of Employment: 12 months
Terms of Employment: Work hours are to be recommended by the Superintendent of Schools. The number of work hours and salary will be established by the Board of Education with the benefits and retirement that apply to personnel according to Board of Education policy.
Job requirements may include evening and weekend responsibilities as well as out-of-district travel.
Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policies which apply to classified personnel.
