Eaton’s AER MSD Mission System Division is currently seeking a CNC Machinist 3rd Shift. This position is based at our Davenport, IA facility.

The hourly rate for this position is $28.60 per hour a shift differential of $.60/hour. (This position qualifies for pay step progressions every 3 months until max out rate of $31.80 is reached.)

What you’ll do:

The CNC Machinist is responsible for performing set-up and operating CNC machine tools, checking processed work against job specifications for a variety of life support, air-to-air refueling, and personal survival equipment systems.

•Inspect your own parts and obtain first article approval when required

•Perform all common types of machining including turning, drilling, boring, facing, forming, reaming, tapping, threading, knurling, slotting, burnishing, chamfering, and deburring

•Obtain information on job requirements from a variety of readouts and presentations including blueprints, analysis sheets, sketches, written and oral instructions, to produce quality products

•Set up and operate associated manual machines (drill press, milling machine, saw, etc.) as required

•Perform routine machine maintenance

•All other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

•High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution

•Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future

•This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

•No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.Only candidates within a 70-mile radius of Davenport, IA will be considered.Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred qualifications:

•3 years of experience with setup and operation of CNC Mills and Lathe machines.

•3 years of experience with operating Mazak and Mazatrol-controlled machines.

•3 years of experience with CNC programming and processes.

•3 years of experience reading, interpreting, and evaluating a variety of readouts and presentations including blueprints, analysis sheets, sketches, written instructions, etc., in order to obtain job specifications.

Skills:

•Setup and operation of CNC Mills and Lathe machines

•Experience with CNC programming and processes

•The ability to read, interpret, and evaluate a variety of readouts and presentations including blueprints, analysis sheets, sketches, written instructions, etc., in order to obtain job specifications

•Must demonstrate good interpersonal skills

•Must be able to work with limited supervision
