Eastridge is Hiring a Quality Inspector Near Fitchburg, MA

Eastridge is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector for immediate placement with a reputable contract manufacturer specializing in the Medical Device, Defense, and Life Sciences sectors.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Utilize specialized inspection and test equipment to qualify and verify products.
  • Properly set up parts on equipment for measurement and run established measurement programs.
  • Identify pass/fail results from generated reports.

Inspection/Test equipment includes, but is not limited to Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM)

  • Vision Systems such as Keyence Optical Measurement Systems and Micro Vu Video Measuring Machine
  • Optical Comparator (standard and eCAD)
  • Micrometer
  • Calipers
  • Drop indicator
  • Pull-force tester
  • Hardness tester
  • Maintain accurate and legible quality records and file them appropriately.
  • Coordinate Material Review Board (MRB) activities, including identifying, segregating, and tagging nonconforming material.
  • Evaluate nonconforming material and provide input regarding its condition.
  • Perform follow-up and effectiveness checks with guidance from Quality Engineers.
  • Complete all final product release activities.
  • Conduct First Article Inspection using provided documentation/guidance.
  • Perform in-house calibrations of gauges following work instructions.
  • Provide measurement and documentation support to validation activities.

Job Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to read and comprehend written work instructions.
  • Basic computer skills for daily information input.
  • Competency with Microsoft Office Programs.
  • Familiarity with ISO 13485 standard and CFR 820 regulations.
  • General understanding of Statistical Process Control principles.
  • Ability to read and interpret prints and customer requirements.
  • Proficiency with standard dimensional gauges such as calipers, micrometers, drop indicators, and comparators.
