We are partnering with a transportation and material management firm company in their search for an HR Generalist to join the Bloomington, IN team.

The HR Generalist and play a pivotal role in implementing various human resources programs. As a crucial member of the team, you'll possess a comprehensive understanding of HR functions, spanning from recruitment to performance evaluation. As an HR Generalist, your responsibilities will be diverse, including organizing training sessions, managing employee benefits, and formulating HR policies. Leveraging Human Resources Information Systems, you'll ensure the confidentiality and accuracy of employee records. Serving as the primary point of contact for HR-related inquiries, you'll play a vital role in maintaining smooth HR operations, ultimately contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer compensation plans
  • Support talent acquisition and recruitment efforts
  • Coordinate training and development initiatives
  • Address employee queries regarding leaves and compensation
  • Champion HR programs to foster a harmonious workplace
  • Assist in policy development and implementation
  • Facilitate performance management processes
  • Analyze HR metrics to drive informed decisions
  • Coordinate employee performance reviews
  • Maintain electronic and paper employee records
  • Foster job satisfaction through prompt issue resolution and team-building activities
  • Ensure compliance with labor regulations

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an HR Generalist
  • Familiarity with HR policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of employment laws
  • Proficiency in MS Office; experience with HRIS systems (e.g., PeopleSoft) preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to solve problems effectively
  • Team-oriented with a results-driven mindset
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field
  • Additional HR training preferred
  • Leadership: 1 year (Preferred)
