SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Under direct supervision, this position is responsible for processing daily distribution tasks specific to loading, unloading, moving/transferring, and transacting materials to support in-plant logistics. Individuals must be attentive to detail and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This position also requires the person to be able to accurately complete transactions and fulfill requests in a timely manner for the receipt, delivery, and shipment of all goods. These functions include operating in a cGMP environment and adhering to strong inventory management practices.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Performs manual and clerical duties related to shipping, receiving, storing, issuing, and delivering a variety of materials, equipment, and supplies
• Performs physical counts of inventory
• Transports materials between departments, facilities, and/or production floor
• Transacts inventory/material movements in an accurate and timely manner and in accordance with strong inventory control practices
• Selects and transacts materials for work orders
• Assures the accurate counting, staging and storage of materials and supplies
• Operates warehouse vehicles such sit down, stand up and side-loader forklifts, pallet jacks, and related material handling equipment in narrow aisles and cold storage facilities
• Follows all standard operation procedures and GMP guidelines
• Adheres to all safety training and instructions and has knowledge of materials and safety
• Participates in the effective training of other employees
• Carries out duties in compliance with established business policies

REQUIREMENTS

• Position requires ability to lift up to 50 lbs. or more at least 35 % of the day on a regular basis.
• Walking, standing, and climbing for long periods of time (up to 50% of the day) are routine tasks to accomplish tasks in this role.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.
• Must operate a forklift

EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Six months of previous work experience
• Experience in a warehouse/stockroom environment utilizing material handling equipment and computerized inventory control system preferred
• Previous experience in a GMP environment preferred
• Trained in the safe usage of basic warehouse equipment such as but not limited to order pickers, preferred
• Basic computer skills including Word, Excel and transaction data entry
• Strong verbal and written communication written skills
• Basic math skills Basic knowledge and understanding of cycle count procedures
• Hands-on experience supplying materials to production work orders
• Strong time management skills, ability to function efficiently with a focus on safe practices
• Demonstrates commitment to complete work in accordance with company's Quality Management System supporting ISO requirements FDA regulations, and those put forth by other regulatory agencies.
• Understands and is aware of the quality consequences and device defects which may occur from the improper performance of their specific job.
