Responsibilities:

• Communicate effectively with both internal and external customers, ensuring timely responses to inquiries and discrepancies.
• Conduct reviews and audits of assigned programs, processes, or accounting functions (such as payroll, A/P, A/R, Grant, etc.).
• Analyze and review balance sheet accounts, maintaining documentation and resolving identified issues promptly and accurately.
• Coordinate external audits and serve as a liaison with internal stakeholders and external auditors/customers.
• Gather and compile data from various sources, prepare, distribute, and maintain regular and ad-hoc reports, and review and analyze reports to identify errors or misstatements.
• Perform journal and general ledger entries, code entries, maintain fixed assets, and process payments, while ensuring accurate record-keeping of accounting activities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of two years of Accounting experience, preferably in a healthcare environment.
• Ability to accurately complete data entry at a relatively high speed, including 10-key by touch.
• Strong team player with the ability to work independently when necessary.
• Working knowledge of GAAP and its application.
• Proficiency with Excel and other MS software.
