Job Summary:

This position will report to the Concrete General Manager. Duties will include Project Estimation and Management of Concrete projects ranging from high end residential, commercial building construction, and municipal construction including Treatment Plants, Dam Spillways and Modifications, Process Plants, and Flood Control. Projects will range in target value from $1M - $20M across most states west of the Mississippi River.

This position may require part time travel to projects outside of the Bozeman, MT area to attend Pre-Bid Meetings, Site Visits, and Client/Project related Meetings.

Position Responsibilities:

The Manager reports to the General Manager and is responsible for a wide variety of duties specific to completing a job. All duties are specific to their role in the system and its efficiency.

  • The Manager oversees all assigned projects for Easton Concrete and is the primary contact for owners, public agencies, architects, consultants, and contractors before and during project implementation. The project manager creates plans to meet required specifications, budgets, and schedules.
  • Professionalism: Approaches others in a tactful manner; Reacts well under pressure; Treats others with respect and considerations regardless of their position; Accepts responsibility for own actions; Follows through on commitments.
  • Owner/Customer Satisfaction: Providing customer with a quality product per customers desires, specs and local regulations and requirements; both internal and external clients. Contract negotiating and management.
  • Communication: Clearly communicate with clients and internal staff.
  • Scheduling: Manage the project schedule and adjust accordingly as early as possible. Schedule pre-construction meetings with team and customers. Be flexible and roll with changes as required. P6 and or MS Project proficient.
  • Project/Site Review & Preparation: Identify high risk items prior to each project; Shall seek assistance of operations team for strategic owner/subcontractor meetings where a cohesive company presence is required
  • Project Estimation within guidelines set forth by executive management
  • Documentation/Paperwork: Initiate procedures with the project team regarding construction document management. Procore use and proficiency.
  • Safety: Adhere to safety standards and identify safety hazards as they arise.
  • Leadership: Maintain a positive approach and attitude. Create learning opportunities to assist team members in developing skills and/or advancing on their career path.
  • Quality Assurance & Quality Control: Customer satisfaction, and satisfaction for you, comes from quality control. Strive for optimal efficiency and quality by doing things the right way the first time.
  • Problem Solving: Plan to the best of your ability, anticipate potential problems and solve all problems as they arise.
  • Meetings: Attend weekly meetings with Easton Companies operations and general contractor’s as required.

Requirements:

Education: Construction Management Degree Preferred

Experience:

  • Project Management from project estimate thru project closeout
  • Concrete Estimating
  • Is current with building codes, best practices, technological advances, and overall performance.
  • Is a detail-oriented problem solver.
  • Procore Tools
