Schedule:Monday-Friday 8am-4pm

Location:Varies in Fort Wayne, Columbia City and Angola

Pay:$68,640-$76,448 with a total of $5,000 sign on bonus paid out quarterly in 1st year

Summary: Registered Nurse performs a wide variety of tasks which are broad in scope and involve many complex and significant variables. Nurse works according to standard agency policies and procedures and standard practices of the profession, exercising independent judgment to supervise and direct assigned personnel, implement risk plans and solve problems. Nurse works with minimum supervision, referring to supervisor unusual or unprecedented situations. Nurse maintains frequent contact with participants, agency staff, other service providers and the public for the purpose of exchanging information, medical coordination and solving problems.

Qualifications:

• At least 18 years of age
• Current Indiana Registered Nurse license
• 1 year of experience in ID/DD or long term care nursing preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively in order to: Complete required forms and reports of services provided, Follow oral and written instructions, and Communicate with an individual in the individual's mode of communication
• Ability to pass criminal/registry background checks, A valid driver's license & insured vehicle
• Ability and willingness to support individuals with challenging behavior and/or medical concerns
• Ability to pass and maintain required trainings such as CPR/First Aid, Medication Administration and Positive Behavioral Support Training and other trainings as deemed necessary by the agency
• Ability to perform light to moderate lifting when needed
• Ability to train staff, clients and family members on health related topics
• Active RN license in the state of Indiana
• Wiling to travel up to 50 miles, with reimbursement for mileage
