Easterseals Western and Central Pennsylvania is a non-profit organization looking to hire a dynamic part-time Level III or Level II Classroom Assistant to work with special needs children ages 3-8 years old at our South location in West Mifflin, PA. We are now hiring for our 5 week summer session working 20 hours per week.

POSITION-Part-time Classroom Assistant III or II

Classroom Assistant III

• Bachelors (Required)
• PA Professional Teaching Certificate in Special Education, Elementary Education and/or Early Childhood Education (Required)
• Special Education Experience: 1 Year (Preferred)

Classroom Assistant II

• Associates (Required)
• Special Education Experience: 1 Year (Preferred)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES-Part-time Classroom Assistant III or II

• Planning and implementing activities to enhance students skills.
• Assisting in implementing the students IEP.
• Providing a safe and accepting classroom.
• Providing 1:1 instruction as needed.
• Assisting in the instructional program, integration program and behavior management of students

Extended School Year

• June 24- August 2, 2024 (No School Thurs. July 4th and Fri. July 5th)
• Work hours are Monday - Friday, 8:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., 4-hours days.
