Easterseals Delaware is Hiring a Director of Events and Engagement Near Castle, DE

Position Opening – Director of Events and Engagement 

Easterseals Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore is seeking a highly organized, confident, engaging professional who is interested in joining Easterseals Development team as the Director of Events and Engagement. The position ensures all events are executed successfully and according to plan – including managing, recruiting, and coordinating volunteers for fundraising events and program engagement involving invested stakeholders. 

The ideal candidate will be interested in working in a fast-paced environment, making connections and forming partnerships in the community to promote and expand Easterseals mission.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan, manage, and execute all development fundraising and donor cultivation events.
  • Coordinate the event promotion and create and/or oversee collateral material creation for all events. This includes working with the marketing team and external vendors to create a social media plan, event collateral (i.e., signage, invitations, web banners, etc.), Constant Contact messaging, and internal/external communication.
  • Manage volunteers for fundraising events and program engagement
  • Ability to work in web design and website management
  • Implement software such as Raiser’s Edge, TeamRaiser, and Constant Contact, Adobe Creative Suites, and InDesign to create graphics and work with logos.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in non-profit event planning and donor cultivation or related field and/or Bachelors’ degree in related field
  • Proven track record or delivering successful events
  • Ability to work collaboratively and leverage the skills and strengths of others, i.e., engaging with Board and Advisory members to connect in the community, leading event committees to create better outcomes, stewarding external stakeholders, and creating goodwill within the Easterseals organization. 
  • Strong organization skills
  • Extensive experience running committees and engaging and planning with Board Members, and other departments to promote fundraising opportunities
  • Proficient with Raiser’s Edge
  • Preferred proficiency in TeamRaiser, Constant Contact, Adobe Creative Suites, and InDesign
  • Clear, professional communicator who enjoys being a part of a collaborative, team environment

This is a full-time employment opportunity 40 hours/week Monday-Friday with the occasional evening or weekend requirement. The salary range for this position is starting at $80,000 but is negotiable based on experience. To apply, send resume and cover letter to Alex Older at aolder@esdel.org
