REQUIREMENTS
Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering or Mechanical Engineering discipline, plus a minimum of 5 years of experience in vessel design, engineering, and construction. Proficiency in performing, accessing, and using 2D/3D software such MS Suite, AutoCAD, and Software’s to handle various type of formatted Documents as PDS/Adobe, etc., for verification of Vendor Data, Structural and Vessel Component Arrangements, Mechanical Drawings, Production Plans and Schedules, etc.
Must be willing to work with minimal supervision and self-driven.
Must have wide knowledge of Classification Rules, International codes and standards as: ABS SVRs and NVR, ISO, SAWE RP 12D / 14, and MIL Standards.
Skills: Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required. Ability to read and interpret documents such as general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from senior management, employees and the public. Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal or diagram form. Proficiency in MS Suite and Auto CAD. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to work in a fast- paced environment, display an attention for detail, and function as a team player.
