Eastern Warehouse Distributors is Hiring a Remote Inside Sales

A Counter Sales position with EWDI is a critical element to sustaining a reputation of excellent customer service, knowledge of inventory and efficient service. The counter area is a fast-paced environment with continuous customer contact throughout the day. The key duties for this position are as follows:

Essential Functions:

  • Primary telephone contact for customers who are placing orders for automotive parts and supplies
  • Identify auto parts through computer-automated or paper catalogs and confirm order placement
  • Coordination with dispatching department to process order
  • Continuous job knowledge strengthening through on the job training and educational opportunities
  • Working knowledge of the internet and vendor websites for order placement, cataloging and general product knowledge
  • Knowledge of automotive systems
  • Knowledge of EAPW Customer E-Commerce Solution
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service and understanding that it is a priority
  • Ability to anticipate customer needs for additional sales or related parts
  • Ability to sense customer dissatisfaction and relay to manager
  • Understand and process customer returns, checking condition of cores defects and new returns.
  • Ability to handle difficult situations professionally and in a non-confrontational manner.
  • Ability to trouble shoot and problem solve.
  • Strong communication and computer skills
  • Detail-oriented with first-rate interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to work a flexible time schedule between the core hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including Saturdays.
  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • 2 years’ experience in the auto parts industry
  • ASE Certification within 2 years of employment

Physical Requirements: The requirements listed below are representative of the physical abilities needed to perform the essential function of this position.

  • Walking, Sitting and standing for 8-10 hours per day
  • Hearing and vision adequate for working in a sales and dispatch environment.
  • Repetitive use of hands for writing and typing

Scope of Responsibility: This position has no supervisory responsibility for other full time or part time employees
