The ESH Unit Manager directs and coordinates the daily activities and personnel of assigned unit. Responsible for all aspects of operations of the assigned area, including nursing quality, patient satisfaction, and productivity. The patient population consists of acute behavioral health patients in a freestanding psychiatric hospital setting. Responsible for up to 28 beds. In conjunction with the ESH Nurse Leader and the Senior Nurse Administrator, responsible for strategic planning, projects, and development.
This position reflects the mission, vision, and values of the organization. Complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
Promotes the recovery of patients' health and patients' successful return to community by assessing patient care needs and planning, organizing, initiating and evaluating nursing services relative to patient outcomes and evaluates specific outcomes related to nursing sensitive indicators.
This position is required to understand and follow all patient safety policies and procedures, to participate in required Patient Safety training programs, to support and abide by the National Patient Safety Goals as interpreted and applied at this organization, and to do all that is reasonable to prevent injury to patients, employees, the facility, and the general public.
The position reports directly to the ESH Nurse Leader.

Job Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Required. One year of nursing experience is required. The employee shall become familiar with HIPAA regulations and do their utmost to protect all protected health information (PHI) and other personal or sensitive information within their trust in the course of state business by applying appropriate safeguards and sharing only the information required to deliver agency services. Any personal or sensitive information overheard or seen by the employee will be kept confidential by not sharing it with others, on or off the work-site grounds. Fully participate in all activities regarding the elimination of the use of seclusion and restraints in patient care including educational requirements, competency development activities, and meeting established performance goals and measures. Must have computer competency in approved systems. Must have excellent customer service skills.
