Represent EMW at the highest level of integrity and professionalism.
Develop strong relationships with our clients project managers and superintendents
Confirm sequences and delivery schedule with the Client
Manage shop drawing submittals and approvals to meet schedule requirements
Proactively notify clients when steel delivery is impacted by design changes or delayed approvals
Push for expedite material release (ABM) when it is beneficial for EMW’s long term or short term production schedule
Coordinate sequences and delivery schedule with Shop Production Manager
Coordinate with purchasing to ensure materials are purchased to satisfy production requirements
Coordinate schedule and manpower requirements with the Field General
Regularly visit jobsites and attend subcontractor meetings (monthly at a minimum, weekly when possible)
Review Foreman’s Daily Reports with the Field General
Confirm accuracy and adequacy of reports
Review production to date. Evaluate against EMW projected progress
Confirm EMW interests are documented (Delays, Change Orders, Coordination, etc..)
Review Daily Photos to make sure they represent accurate reflection of EMW work
Encourage forward planning / projection
Ensure that all satisfactory work is accepted and documented.
Ensure that deficiencies are properly remedied, accepted and dcoumented to avoid potential claims.
Review project cost reports weekly to identify points of exposure for EMW
Cost overruns
Schedule slippage
Manpower shortages or excesses
Prepare projected costs to complete and assess projected profitability
Coordinate with Accounting to ensure timely billing in accordance with job progress
Coordinate with Estimating to develop and submit change orders if/when necessary
Generate a Monthly Status Report for active projects. Present to COO
Submit to client upon COO approval
Include the following documents
Original submittal schedule by sequence
Actual submittal schedule showing submission dates, approval dates and variance from original dates with explanation for variance
Change Order Log
Brief narrative of project status and critical issues
Qualifications:
Proficiency in construction management software, project scheduling, and project coordination
- Strong background in construction management and project management
- Experience with ProCore, Bluebeam, and other premium construction software
- Knowledge of construction estimating, Primavera, Prolog, Primavera P6, Civil 3D, and HeavyBid
- Ability to read blueprints, understand contracts, and manage time effectively
- Familiarity with schematics and attention to detail
