Project Manager (Healthcare Experience Preferred)

Bismark Construction Company is currently seeking a full-time Project Manager to join our team in Milford, CT.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Supports the company, core values, goals, safety and follows / enforces company policies and procedures
  • Responsible for the financial success of projects by monitoring and controlling all costs, labor hours and cash flow
  • Meets with team proactively to review and ensure scheduling, workflow and efficient production process
  • Works to build professional relationships with clients, employees, supervisors, customers and other business associates
  • Ensures that a project’s documents are complete, current, shared and documented properly
  • Responsible for the timely processing of RFI’s, change orders and other contract documents
  • Ensures material acquisition, handling, storage and returns
  • Responsible for promoting our services to new and existing customers and employees
  • Dedicated to promoting effective verbal, written and electronic communications and is able to understand and follow directions
  • Ability to focus on productivity, time management and shifting priorities to meet required deadlines
  • Manages change order process and follows up with relevant parties. Prepares change orders and proposed change order documentation and acceptance. Maintain change order log, timely billing and collection. Eliminate any possible dispute over change order administration
  • Monitors procurement based on a project’s budget and schedule
  • Manages and acquires the major material packages for a project
  • Ensures end of project close out and complete final invoicing including final lien waivers
  • Ability to balance time between main office and job site locations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 4-7 years of experience in the Commercial and Industrial Construction Industry
  • Minimum of 3 years project management experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills as well as organizational and follow through skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency with documenting projects using project management software
  • Proficiency working with Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Proficiency working with Microsoft Project
  • Experience in Procore, BIM 360 a plus
