COMPENSATION
Competitive compensation packages based on previous work experience, education, certification, and other relevant factors. $249,600.00-$405,600.00 annually. 
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school
  • MBA, MPH, MHA, or similar degree preferred
  • Board Certified
  • Current State of Iowa medical license or ability to obtain prior to start date
  • Demonstrated business acumen through prior experience, contributing to organizational success
  • Clinical mentoring or training experience
  • FQHC experience desirable
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
  • This dynamic medical leader, with a proven track record, dedicates approximately 50% of working hours to directly providing patient care and 50% to leading medical efforts within the organization, thereby positively impacting patient lives and upholding the highest level of rigor and expertise in achieving EIHC's mission.
  • Provide visionary leadership to medical teams, emphasizing excellence, continuous improvement, and a patient-centric approach.
  • Cultivate collaborative relationships with medical staff, fostering open communication and teamwork to create a cohesive clinical team. Directly engage with providers and their clinical teams, employing one-on-one coaching and regular feedback to drive performance metrics, ensuring overall effectiveness, and facilitating seamless integration of change initiatives.
  • Demonstrate an unwavering commitment to health equity, making it a cornerstone aligned with our mission, recognizing and building on the diversity of patients and coworkers.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive clinical strategy aligned with organizational objectives, incorporating emerging healthcare trends. Prioritize and integrate clinical initiatives into broader strategic planning, optimizing patient outcomes, and resource allocation.
  • Lead data-driven efforts to assess and enhance the quality of clinical services, focusing on patient safety, error reduction, and streamlined workflows.
  • Stay abreast of emerging healthcare technologies, evaluating their impact on clinical practices, and integrating innovative solutions for enhanced patient care.
  • Collaborate with finance and resource management teams to optimize budgetary allocations for clinical departments, ensuring efficient resource utilization without compromising care quality.
  • Adhere to robust medical governance structures, ensuring compliance with regulations, ethical guidelines, and legal requirements.
  • Oversee credentialing and privileging processes, streamlining onboarding procedures for qualified medical staff in adherence to accreditation standards.
  • Provide supervision and clinical oversight for all clinicians, including family medicine, behavioral health, women's health, and pediatrics.
  • Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA laws, legal regulations such as FTCA, and ethical guidelines in all clinical activities, safeguarding patient confidentiality, upholding organizational compliance standards, and advising on necessary changes.
  • Participate in the development of the annual EIHC 330 grant Health Care Plan, contributing to goal establishment for healthcare and quality projects.
  • Review and assess clinical and patient care contracts for services provided to or by EIHC, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Serve as the PCMH Clinician Lead, actively participating in the PCMH Cycle and resubmissions with the Quality Department.
  • Review and familiarize with grant programs and UDS reports, ensuring comprehensive understanding and compliance.
  • Regularly attend designated EIHC meetings, representing the organization at the local, state, and federal levels, and participate in other program activities as appropriate.
  • Assume responsibility for knowledge and compliance with the EIHC handbook and policies, procedures, and manuals pertinent to the department, consistently promoting positive engagement and leadership within the organization.

SCHEDULE
Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with one late night per week as needed
